About the Presenter

Dawn Goldberg

Dawn Goldberg graduated from TexasTechUniversity (Lubbock, Texas) with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) specializing in finance with an emphasis in accounting. She has been employed by the Internal Revenue Service since 1985. In the early part of her career, Dawn spent approximately twelve years auditing and working with income taxes relating to both individuals and businesses. Since the fall of 2000, her focus has been auditing, educating and working with organizations exempt from federal tax including charities, religious organizations, educational organizations, labor organizations, social clubs, veteran organizations, etc. for the Exempt Organization (EO) section of Tax Exempt/Government Entities Operating Division. In addition to her extensive audit work, Dawn spent approximately three years of her career as a front-line manager and working on other various assignments.

Dawn is an IRS certified and experienced instructor. She received her IRS instructor certification in July 1986 and has taught several formal courses for the IRS as well as presented workshops and delivered speeches as needed. In addition, she has developed and delivered various training courses for the government including the Fraud, Abusive Schemes and Anti-Terrorism course; Advance Research Skills course; and EO Government Witness course.
